Dyslexia Screening Now Available at

Kip McGrath Billericay

Does your child struggle with reading, writing, or spelling?

Dyslexia can impact learning, but early identification and intervention is key!

Dyslexia Screening at Kip McGrath Billericay

At Kip McGrath Billericay, we’re dedicated to helping every learner reach their potential. We now offer dyslexia screening to identify the likelihood of dyslexic tendencies or other specific learning difficulties (SpLD), providing insight into your child’s strengths and areas that may require support.

Screening tests are used to give an indication of an individual’s strengths and weaknesses and can help identify the likelihood of them having a specific learning difficulty (SpLD) such as dyslexia. Screening does not provide a diagnosis (for which a full diagnostic assessment would be required) but can be an accessible way of determining that a child may need additional support.

Why Choose a Dyslexia Screening?

01

A screening test is an accessible first step in determining whether a child may need additional learning support.

02

It helps identify learners who could benefit from interventions or a full diagnostic assessment.

03

Screening results guide personalised strategies to support literacy and learning development.

Our screening tests are administered by qualified professionals and are tailored to children experiencing literacy challenges. While not a formal diagnosis, the results can offer clarity and direction for
next steps.

Fee: £50 per screening session.

Take the first step in understanding your child’s learning needs!

Feedback to Parents

After the screening test, the results are reviewed and interpreted by trained professionals.

Parents receive clear feedback on:

- The learner’s strengths and areas of difficulty.

- The likelihood of dyslexic tendencies.

- Recommendations for next steps, such as targeted support or a formal diagnostic assessment if required.

This feedback is designed to provide parents with actionable insights to better understand their child’s learning profile and needs.

Report Generation

A detailed report is produced based on the screening test results.

This report typically includes:

1. Summary of Findings: Highlights key strengths and challenges identified during the screening.

2. Analysis of Skills: Provides an overview of specific areas such as reading, writing, and processing abilities.

3. Recommendations: Suggests strategies, interventions, or further steps to support the learner effectively.

The report serves as a useful tool for parents, teachers, and support professionals to collaboratively design a supportive learning plan tailored to the child’s needs.

While the screening and report are not a substitute for a full diagnostic assessment, they provide valuable direction for early interventions and support strategies.
